Luigi was born in Genoa, thirty-seven years ago. At school he discovered a passion for art, baroque music and Sampdoria, probably during math classes! Before entering religious life he studied Conservation of Cultural Heritage and, after an experience in monastic life, he joined the Society of Jesus.
He now lives in Naples where he studies Fundamental Theology and attends some courses in Islamic Studies at “L’Orientale” University. He has previously studied philosophy and theology at the Gregorian University in Rome, and did his Regency working with refugees at the JRS “Centro Astalli”, where he taught Italian. Thanks to this experience he discovered the beauty of interreligious dialogue, and the desire to become a traveling companion to anyone who seeks himself and God: “I now really understand that God has no favourites, but that anybody of any nationality who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him” (Acts 10:35) . St. Peter understood this 2,000 years ago, do we?
